Each year we select a leader who exemplifies the values and ideals of the Johnson Institute – leadership, integrity, and accountability. The selection process is rigorous, involving an external nominating committee and a staff of students who research candidates for the award. Our award winners have come from a variety of fields in the public and nonprofit sectors. The leader typically spends the day with students, faculty and community members in a series of events, culminating in an award ceremony and reception, in which the leader delivers remarks about leadership. Links to videos of each speech are provided as well as case studies when available.
